This is a vinyl LP pressing of Why Does The Earth Give Us People To Love? by Kara Jackson. The American poet and singer-songwriter released her debut album on April 14, 2023, via September Records. Working in her childhood bedroom, Kara Jackson began demoing Why's songs during the early COVID-19 lockdowns. Kaina, NNAMDÏ, and Sen Morimoto would later join as co-producers to help re-record them for the album. Kara Jackson performed at the Louder Than a Bomb 2018 finals and was selected by Patricia Smith for the Literary Award. In 2019, she was named the United States National Youth Poet Laureate after submitting an essay on poetry and democracy.
